Flyer Delivery Runs

Tauranga Only – For students aged 10+ years

Earn money by delivering flyers to letterboxes in a group of streets called a Delivery Run.

A Delivery Run should take about an hour or so, weekdays between 3:30 – 5:30pm, and will usually be within a few blocks of your home address. We drop off the flyers to you at the start of the week, and you deliver them on a day that you choose.

We pay a minimum of $7 per delivery Run, and you can do up to 4 per week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the kids pay tax?2017-12-13T06:59:48+00:00

Any child who is at School and under 18 doesn’t have to pay tax if they earn under $2340 per year ($45 per week). See the IRD’s Children’s Tax exemption information here

We don’t let any child do more than about 4 hours per week of work, so generally they will never have to worry about tax.

If a child does other paid work as well as StudentForce, and is earning more than $45 every week, they will need to contact Inland Revenue and take the steps needed to track and pay tax.

How long do the Runs take?2017-06-21T23:10:50+00:00

All Runs are tested to be about an hour, and under 4km in length. None should take more than 75 minutes.

For Runs with 4-6 sets of flyers we suggest you collate (sort them into a single pile) the flyers before your run.

We have tested how long it takes to collate 6 sets of 100 flyers per set, and it took 6 minutes.

How much will I earn?2017-06-21T23:07:30+00:00

For standard deliveries of up to 3 sets of flyers, you’ll earn $7 per Run.

For bigger deliveries of between 4-6 sets of flyers, you’ll earn $9 per Run.

What if I’m sick?2017-06-21T23:04:06+00:00

No problem, just give us as much notice as possible. We will notify you Run Partner immediately, however it’s your responsibility to organise a different day to complete your Run that week.

We can find a replacement for you, but there will be penalties.

What happens if it’s raining?2017-06-21T22:46:39+00:00

In light-to-moderate rain or wind you’re expected to do your Run. You’ll need to have suitable wet weather clothing.

You can however contact your Run Partner and agree to do the Run later in the week, but be careful, because if for some reason you don’t get the Run finished that week, there will be penalties.

Can I choose my delivery day?2017-06-21T22:38:01+00:00

Yes, when to apply for a Run you tell us which days in the week you are available and we give you a Run on one or more of those days.

Do I have to deliver on the same day every week?2017-06-21T22:36:22+00:00

Yes, each Delivery Run has a specified day that you agree to. This is because you do you Run with a Run Partner who also has to be available on that day.

You can change the day if you and your Run Partner agree to the change.

What happens when I am away on holidays?2017-06-21T22:34:55+00:00

Just give as much notice as possible. We put in a temporary replacement person in to do your Runs.

Any more than 4 weeks in a row and it’s basically considered a resignation, but you can reapply on your return.

If I choose to quit, how much notice do I need to give?2017-06-21T22:32:06+00:00

As much as possible but there’s no penalty for giving short or no notice. Your last pay won’t be processed until we get the Run bag and vest returned however.

How are wages paid?2017-06-21T22:27:23+00:00

We pay monthly via bank transfer on the first Monday of each month.

Do I need to find a Run Partner?2017-06-21T22:27:41+00:00

No, we will pair you up with someone else in your area. If for some reason you don’t want to work with that person, we can arrange a replacement.
